It was built in 1951 during the reign of Maharana Amar Singh, and served as a refugee camp for Prince Khurram. Gul Mahal is surrounded by circular apartments which are made of red and black marbles. Each marble is engraved with murals and paintings which are considered as an uncommon feature in Rajput style of architecture.
Jag Mandir houses a small museum which is an attraction for all the historians.
